Starry Sky ~ In Spring

This time I want to post about a game named "Starry Sky ~In Spring~" which I played during my 2 weeks of Holiday before my Exams. The first time I knew this title is from the preview of it's anime with the same title (Starry Sky) and since I got curious, I looked for the game and downloaded it along with its English patch ^^

In this game, you can end up with one of the three bishies below:

1. Tohzuki Suzuya

Suzuya is one of the main character's childhood friends. He is the most mature among the three and always taking care of them. He has a good skills of cooking though his bentou referred as Roussian Roullete by Kanata. He has feelings for the main characters but hide it very well because he knew his other childhood friends, Kanata, also has feelings for the main characters. He could control his two other friends, Yoh and Kanata, by threatening them not to make any food for them if they continue to fight which worked really well. Although he looks very calm and rather hard to make angry, Suzuya is the scariest one when he is angry which could be seen at the scene where Yoh and Kanata tried to fooled him on April's Fool Day. He once got into fight with Kanata because he worried about his health which turned the atmosphere between them into a bad things and this make Yoh snapped at them and told them to be more honest with their feelings. Once he reconciled with Kanata, he told Yoh later that even though the length of time they spent together is differ, he is also one of valuable friends for them which makes him (Yoh) really embarrassed.

Suzuya's Ending:

Suzuya's Wedding Scene

A few days before Yoh returning to France, Suzuya confessed his feelings when they (him and the main character) planned for Yoh's Farewell party. He said that he always held back his feelings because he didn't want to break the relationship the three of them had but because Yoh suddenly appeared and changed the relationship between the childhood friends, he couldn't bear to think the main character would end up with other guy. That's why he confessed his feelings even if that makes them avoid each other for a while later. Though because the main character twisted her ankle later (She thought about Suzuya's confession and her feeling too much), they are able to talk with each other once again and the main character answered his feelings which makes him rather surprised.

After their extracurricular meeting, Suzuya asked the main character to go to the classroom which they spend with each other talking (or flirting may be in Suzuya's case). Suzuya then confessed his feelings once again and asked the main character to go out with him. Though reluctantly, both Kanata and Yoh supported them and it's the first time when Suzuya released his openly-jealous attitude by warning both of his friends not to cling over his girlfriend again which make the main character embarrassed and make his friends rather scared because he threatened them with his smile. Then, they held a farewell party and sends Yoh off (The last 2 event Yoh off is the same> could be read at Yoh's Ending.

For the additional scene of Suzuya's Ending, It's time skip of 5 years (2 years for Yoh's Ending if you didn't choose option 'Defend Yoh') and showed the scene where Suzuya and the main character getting married. If you choose other option than 'Intervere between them', you will got a scene where Suzuya proposed to the main character before their graduation ceremony.

2.Nanami Kanata

Kanata is the most reckless among the three. He sometimes get into fighting although it could make his health worsen. Kanata has a disease which couldn't be cured (according to what Suzuya said) and used fighting to cope with the reality of it. He's not getting along with Yoh since the first time they met each other but bit by bit he acknowledge him and befriend with him though sometimes they are bickering with each other. Kanata couldn't be honest with his own feelings and sometimes said somethings that could hurt other feelings although he didn't mean it. He hates it when other people worried about his condition and will turned into bad mood when they said it directly at him. When he got into fight with Suzuya, Yoh snapped at them and told them to be more honest with their feelings. Having other people worried about him actually makes him happy but also lonely about it which he said while crying on their Orientation Camp Event. Kanata has a great photography skill and often takes pictures. He did it so that he could leave some memories of it.

Kanata's Wedding Scene

A few days before Yoh going back to France, he talked with Yoh when the main character suddenly appeared and makes him surprised. Yoh then encouraged him to confess his feelings because he want to fight fairly with his rival. Kanata then took the main character to the courtyard where he confessed his feelings to her. He told her the real reason why he couldn't stand Yoh at first is because he's afraid Yoh would snatch her away from him.

Kanata once again confessed to the main character and said that he wants to protect her even if his body wouldn't be able to do it. Because he didn't want to trouble her, he asked to act as if nothing happened between them. After that, they really act as if nothing happened until Kanata collapsed after the extracurricular meeting. When the main character was about to visit him, he disappeared from the Health Office so she has to go to the rooftop garden to find him. Kanata begged her not to get close to him because he didn't want her to see his pathetic self. He confessed that it's make him really worn out to fight his illness and that's it's a punishment for running away from it. The main characters then hugged him and apologize for running away from Kanata's feelings of her. She confessed that it makes her scared that it would make the relationships between them to break apart. She then answered his feelings which makes him cried and said that it would make him unable to live without her anymore.

The scene where he got supports from his friends is quiet funny because he really believed that there's an UFO, which both Suzuya and Yoh's excuse to interrogate the main characters about the different atmosphere between them, and searching it for real which amazed Yoh at how slow he realized that it's just a lie. For the additional scene, on 2nd Ending where both characters didn't get married, It took place a month before their graduation when Kanata told the main character that his health is improving and it's not a dream to completely recovered. He then proposed to her after he told her that he's going to study abroad in order to become an astrophotographer.

3. Tomoe Yoh

Yoh is a transfer student from French who came all the way to Japan to meet the main characters. At first, Yoh is very distant and hard to approach. He is only opened and gentle to the main characters. He already in constant bickering with Kanata since the first time they met and put the main characters and Suzuya in trouble. His personality is caused by his appearance which make him being bullied when he was a little. Later, he opened himself to others. Yoh is very honest with his feelings. He could say embarrassing lines so naturally even if it could makes the main characters and others embarrassed. Yoh is the first person who said that Suzuya's Onigiri filled chocolate delicious which make others (even Suzuya himself) shocked. Despite his girly appearance, Yoh is very strong. He might be the strongest among the three men because he could carried Kanata easily. Yoh snapped once when Suzuya and Kanata fight with each other over Kanata's health and told them to think about each other feelings and why they felt like that. He also said that he envied the bonds between the three of them and it's an amazing things to have someone worried about them. It amazed the other two when they saw him angry like that because they never seen Yoh expressed his feelings like that.

Yoh's Ending:

Yoh is about to return back to France to help his parents with their research because it's their dream to do research as a family. Although it's hard for him to leave, he decided it himself that he would pursue his dream and his decision makes the relationship between the four of them a bit awkward. Their relationship eventually back to normal when Kanata apologized for what he said before and said that he understood that Yoh has his own way of living.

A few days before he went back, Yoh confessed his feelings. The main characters answered his feelings even if it's going to be hard with long-distance relationship but they decided that they will be strong together. With the support from both Suzuya and Kanata, both Yoh and the main characters said their gratitude to them. As planned, they held a farewell party for Yoh a day before his departure which ended up Kanata and Yoh bickering about the food just like the Sakura Viewing Event where Suzuya stopped it by threatening them with the same subject (He refused to make any food for them if they're fighting). The last scene of their High School years would be the day when Yoh returned to France. He promised to return once he became independent and he would come to fetch the main characters.

After credit title, Another scene which showed the main characters along with her two childhood friends on their graduation day. Yoh suddenly popped up. He came back to propose the main characters but with "...(name of your character), please make me miso soup for the rest of our lives" as his proposal words which make both Suzuya and Kanata laughed out loud at this. If you choose option 'Defend Yoh' before, you will got a wedding scene where the main character and Yoh get married 5 years after their parting.

The first time I played this... I desperately thinking that I want my character to pair up with Yoh first ^^ So I choose the first part options only from my instinct and I met Yoh for most of them ^^ And in the end my characters really end up with Yoh ^^ After I experimented with a few things, your characters won't end up with anyone if you choose random choice (balanced choice for each path). I got the wedding scenes by choosing each character (their own options) pure path. If you mixed some options, you will got time skip for 2 years and not the 5 years later where they got married with the main character. Kanata's Ending is the last one I played may be because I favor Yoh and Suzuya too much xD. Among the three, I choose Yoh's as my favorite ending ^^ To be honest, I couldn't get the end of Kanata where he got married with the main character that makes me so disappointed =.= But... I need to let it go because there's still some games I want to try =P That's why I cheated with his Ending picture xD Hohohoho xP

There are still Winter, Summer, and Fall version of Starry Sky. I might give them a try if I have time ^^ It's fun to look for the right path to collect all of the CG ^^ The Song is good too ^^ Especially the BGM ^^ Hopefully I really have time to try the other three version of this game ^^
